What you can do to help

  • Ask Amazon to stop selling animal fighting magazines. They are only perpetuating the problem
  • Urge your local government to support funding for enforcing animal fighting laws
  • Alert law enforcement

"They'll take a small puppy and they'll start beating him, even at the age of five - six weeks old, they'll start beating him, kicking the animal, flinging him, brutalizing the animal because all they want it for is to fight,"

Sergeant Steve Brownstein
Chicago Detective

"I was in a fourth grade classroom--10-year-olds, 11-year-olds--and the subject came up, I said, `Let's talk about dog fighting. Who has seen dog fighting?' Every hand shot up. I said, `I don't mean Molly slipping out of the yard.' Every hand. It was unanimous. The kids said it happens all the time, in the alleys."
