Ms. Lola is a certified therapy dog for Pets For Life, Inc. She is about 6 years old and weighs 55 lbs. She is an American Pit Bull Terrier and she loves people and animals alike.

Lola visits several facilities in the area including Armor House, Plaza Apartments, Senior Estates, and Gillis. She interacts with children, disabled people, and the elderly. Many of the children she sees are autistic, several with severe anger issues. Currently she is working with these kids on reading.

Her kids at Gillis have proclaimed her a Princess. Her favorite color is pink and she often paints her toenails. She has also been known to show up dressed for any occasion. She even owns her own KU basketball jersey.

Lola was rescued through Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue. She had been a breeding dog for a dogfighter out of Lawrence, KS. After being confiscated She lived in the Lawrence Humane Society for 2 1/2 years waiting for the trial to end. Against all odds she maintained her incredible temperament to go on to be adopted and become the ambassador she is today.
